Hidden Treasure

Take a deep breath and centre yourself. Now imagine you are on a ship, sailing off for an island. One isolated, deserted island. See this island as it comes into view. All golden sand and green palm trees. One uninhabited island. Your ship gets closer and you drop anchor in the bay. You want to go ashore. As you prepare to leave the ship, the captain gives you an envelope. It has the instructions, only to be opened when you reach the bottom of the valley and find the tree of the red ribbon. You take the envelope, and shove it into your pocket. You are far more interested in just getting ashore.

You leave the ship and land on the beach. Feel the white sand crunching under your feet as you proceed alone up the beach. You can see what looks like a trail between the palm trees so you take it. And, as you come out of the trees, you find yourself looking down into a valley. A beautiful green valley. You see a trail leading down. So you take it and descend into the valley. And as you reach the bottom you see a tree which has a red ribbon tied in it. Suddenly you remember the envelope stuffed in your pocket. You retrieve it and open it. It holds a map and a key. The map is a treasure map. Directions begin with a red dot (that has to be this tree with the red ribbon) and end in a black cross. So let’s play the game of find the hidden treasure. Look at your map. The directions are easy to follow. Let’s go find that treasure. Before long you reach the spot marked with a cross. And in front of you is an old treasure chest. You go to open it but find it is locked. Ah, that’s what the key in the envelope is for. But when you try the key it does not work. Confused you look again at the lock and notice that there is a note. It reads before you can open this chest, you must give intent. What intent you think? Intent that whatever you find in this is chest is for your highest good.

You ponder on this. You just wanted the excitement of finding this chest to be full pirate treasures. You know, gold, silver, jewellery. Now it looks like that is not going to happen. You sit down and try and think what your highest good means. Could it mean letting ego go and allowing a higher source? You do know that chest has something valuable in it, otherwise it would not be locked. And if it is not money then according to the notice is still good for you. Okay you will play along with this. Give the intent now to open this chest and see whatever is inside that is so necessary for you at this moment. Have no preconceptions as to what is inside. Just know it is for your highest good. Once you have given this intent take the key and try the lock again. Hey presto, it works. Lift the lid and see what is inside. What it is that the Universe is offering you. Reach it and accept your gift, your treasure. Know it is for your highest good. Even if it isn’t clear to you what it is or what it means, still take the gift. Accept it, for it is uniquely yours and relevant to your life at the moment. Accept it, learn from it, use it.
Now with your treasure in hand, climb back up out of the valley. Then through the palm trees back onto the beach. Feel the sand once again under your feet before you return to your ship and sail for home. Take a deep breath and gently return to the room. With a valuable gift for your use.
